If you've registered a domain name with Campanile separately from a web hosting account, here's what we provide in return for the registration fees. We think you'll agree it all represents excellent value for money.
Nameserver pointing. If you want to use the domain name for a web site being hosted on another paid hosting service (i.e. not Campanile), we can point the domain name to the other service's nameservers. Then, if your domain name is yourdomain.co.uk, anyone entering www.yourdomain.co.uk into a web browser will be taken to your web site.
Sophisticated web forwarding. Perhaps you have a web site hosted on free web space provided by your ISP (Internet Service Provider), but it has an address like
www.yourisp.com/~yourusername
which is clumsy and doesn't look very professional. We can set up web forwarding so that you can use your domain name instead. We can arrange it so that the real site address doesn't show up in browser address bars. We can even fix things so that people entering specific filenames into their browsers, for example
www.yourdomain.co.uk/aboutme.html
would be directed to the real page location, for example
www.yourisp.com/~yourusername/aboutme.html
without the real location showing in the browser's address bar.
Domain holding page. If you don't have a web site at all, we'll set up a single page for you with your company profile, mission statement, and contact details. You can choose the design from a number of ready-made options. Pages like this are often called "holding" pages because they act like a placeholder on the web until you develop a full web site, but it may be all that you need for the moment. Where else could you get a single-page web site with your own domain name so cheap?
Up to 50 e-mail forwarding addresses. You can have up to 50 e-mail addresses based on your domain name redirected to other accounts, such as the free addresses supplied by your ISP or services like Hotmail. For example, you could have
and so on.
Catch-all e-mail forwarding. You can nominate an e-mail address to which all other e-mail addressed to your domain will be redirected. You don't have to use the e-mail forwarding feature described above if you don't want to: you can have all e-mail addressed to your domain sent to this catch-all e-mail address.
E-mail bounce options. You have a choice of how e-mail sent to unrecognised addresses at your domain will be handled:
Search engine submission. If you like, we'll submit your site to ten search engines for free.
