HR Focus is an owner-managed human resources consultancy based in the Scottish Borders, serving small and medium-sized employers throughout Scotland and the north of England. The company wanted a web site with a cool, restrained and tidy appearance to broadcast the benefits of its services in a friendly but business-like manner. This desire influenced our choice of typography and channelled us towards an almost monochrome design, with colour accents coming from the client's existing print media branding.
This site illustrates another aspect of Campanile's service: copywriting. Many clients don't know where to begin when it comes to preparing text for their web site. By thinking about what visitors might wish and expect to find on the site, we can ask the right questions of clients and develop content on their behalf — which is exactly what we did for HR Focus.
The site was built to meet our usual objectives of rapid downloading, ease of use, and accessibility not only to graphical web browsers, but to PDAs, screen readers, and any other internet enabled devices or assistive technologies that comply with web standards.
HR Focus chose to host the site on a Campanile server, and to contract Campanile to maintain and update the site when required.
